Description of my final project

Project Name: We Came, We SAWS, We Conquered

Our goal is predicting the root cause of sewer overflow events in the city of San Antonio. Using sanitary sewer overflow data from San Antonio Water System (SAWS) and weather data from the NOAA, our project will be able to give our city a better understanding of the cause of these events and in turn help better prepare SAWS for those events in the future. It is important to identify the cause of these events because the city spends over $100 million dollars a year on correcting issues with the sewers.

Why should someone hire you?

I should be hired because once I am given a task I work tirelessly to complete it, and if it is a task I currently cannot complete I dedicate myself to learning how to complete it. I am skilled, intelligent, and dedicated; plus I actually enjoy working on code and learning new things, rather than just being in this field for the compensation.

Complete the following sentence: “In Data Science, I am most passionate about _____________”

finding the bleeding edge of new tech, and finding ways to use or improve it myself, even if it is only theory-crafting in my own mind.
