Project Name: Austin Crime Analysis
The data, from the years 2018 - 2021, was acquired from the city of Austin's open data portal. The project goal was to develop a deeper understanding of the factors that drive crime in Austin, TX, and uncover indicators of whether or not a particular case will be solved/cleared. The end product was the construction of a predictive classification model using a Naive Bayes algorithm that can predict clearance status on unseen data with an accuracy of 89% and an ROC-AUC Score of .81. This accuracy outperforms the baseline by ~ 11% .
I find fulfillment in helping others reach their full potential and am energized about transitioning this into a role where I can assist businesses perform at their full capacity. While I understand there is much to learn , I am a hard worker and enjoy a challenge, my drive will not allow me to exert anything less than my very best.
