Project Name: NPR News Sentiment Analysis: Getting to business giving NPR the business
With NPR’s broad reach and reliability as a news outlet, the organization’s influence on public sentiment is critical in establishing a “more informed public.” We are exploring the sentiment of what has been said on NPR broadcasts over 15 years, with the goal of creating a predictive model of whether an utterance was spoken by an NPR host or guest--valuable in an age where reputable organizations have to take an active role in ensuring that their content is not misrepresented.
I am adaptable, I am a team-player, and I am reliable. My own past personal and professional experiences makes me an ideal candidate to bring solutions to the workplace.
I am definitely most passionate about modeling. I find myself amazed at how we are able to come up with different ways to accurately predict the oddest of things and how simple it is to do so.
