Project Name: Sound The Alarm
My team and I explored U.S. wildfires over a span of 27 years from 1992 - 2018. Our goal was to identify trends and driving forces of wildfires to promote active solutions that could reduce their devastating effects. Our exploration revealed an upward trend in the total area burned and that 57% of the wildfires were caused through human action, with debris/open burning as the primary cause. In addition, we were able to gain other insights that aided in making actionable recommendations that can significantly reduce disastrous wildfires and keep our environment safe.
I am intellectual with a unique perspective and insatiable curiosity. Give me a complex problem to solve and you may have to pry me away from my work.
learning and applying what I learn to discover valuable insights in the vast amount of data available to us today.
