During our main projects i really emphasized a collaborative approach so we all can take on big challenges and integrate our progress together. By learning new things every day and being able to implement that as a team made it possible to create a great website in as little as two weeks. My Capstone Project: HopShop.pub
HopShop.pub is an interactive site where users can rate beers, chat with each other through disqus API, we also used stripe API for users to donate to a brewery, and an option for users to login through Facebook. To make this possible we worked with jQuery, Vuejs, PHP, Laravel, HTML, and CSS. For our ratings system we have a algorithm that uses a bayesian average and another algorithm for our beer of the day to choose a different top-rated beer every 24 hours. Infinite scroll is used in our Beerlist for a smooth transition that loads two beers at a times that loads with Ajax requests and have a search option to also search using Ajax requests. We have also used Ajax requests to display live data from our database for a clean, smooth user experience. Also our site is fully mobile responsive using Twitter Bootstrap and media queries.
