My Capstone Project: Birdie's Eye View
The USGA is proposing a change to the official golf ball. They are suggesting that technology will allow the average pga tour player to eventually exceed the current ball flight distance regulation of 317 yards. By using web-scraping to obtain our data, and using time series analysis to make predictions, our project aims to investigate if the average tour golfer’s driving distance will exceed the current standard, when we could expect this to occur, and how it could impact professional golf.
