My Capstone Project: Members Portal
Our project is a portal for members of a city organization such as a Chamber of Commerce. The portal’s goals are to:
1) Enable members to build a network of trusted professional contacts within the organization
2) Provide a valuable resource for staffing (per-project or permanent) needs by showcasing a business’s products/services and reputation
3) Increase business-to-business sales within the organization, stimulating the local economy
The portal is built using HTML, CSS, Twitter Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Laravel, Twitter stream API and Google Maps API. It is intended to be a long-term solution to connectivity problems across an organization and will be continually improved and developed over the coming years. New features will be implemented and administrators at the main organization will be able to add more custom content relevant to its members.
