My Capstone Project: Women in Data Science Competition

Women in Data Science Competition: Adapting to Climate Change by Improving Extreme Weather Forecasts Determined which columns to use for our data exploration, explored features that influenced the mean temperature. Based on the findings, predicted the mean temperature for the test data. Baseline using RMSE was 9.86℃ and our polynomial model reduced it to 1.27℃. Submitted our findings to the WiDS 2023 competition. Partners: Mark Foster and Naomi Sweatt
