My Capstone Project: Attention Walmart Customers
Our team acquired a Kaggle open-source dataset which consisted of nearly three years of Walmart sales data. We quickly realized that lack of inventory and customer dissatisfaction would ultimately lead to loss in revenue. Our initial goal was to determine the drivers of weekly sales. Using regression and time series algorithms, we were able to predict sales for the following week, thus possibly aiding store managers to accurately stock stores and improving the customer experience.
