I have foundational knowledge and skills across the data science pipeline. For data analysis, I know how to turn data into insights by forming hypotheses to test (statistics). I also know how to create data visualizations that effectively get the insights across to the stakeholders. For data engineering, I know SQL/NoSQL and feel comfortable working with databases. I feel comfortable preparing and cleaning data to get it ready to be analyzed and modeled.
In this project, company reviews and ratings were scraped from Glassdoor’s website. NLP techniques were used to find which factors were brought up most in the reviews. Machine learning models were built to confirm our findings and add insights. The factors that drive ratings, such as work-life balance and benefits, can be presented to company leaders to suggest areas they should focus on improving.
