My Capstone Project: Fake News Capstone
My team’s goal for this project was to identify specific phrases and words within fake news and real news articles, that can be used to accurately predict if a randomly sourced article is filled with fake news or real news. We utilized multiple NLP tools such as NLTK, bigrams, and trigrams to visualize the occurrences of fake news-related words. Our ultimate goal was to build a model that can accurately predict misleading information and warn the general public on what to look out for when reading their news.
