My Capstone Project: Church Local
Church Local is a website that works with churches to allow their members start meetup groups to interact with the members inside and outside of their church. The goal is to allow people foster their spiritual growth within their own church and to foster a space to grant people the opportunities to take ownership of their church resources.
Church Local was developed using four programming languages (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) , 3 frameworks (jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, Laravel), and 3 API’s to include Google Maps, Facebook, and Mailgun. The application relies on multiple database tables and relationships between them. The application follows the principles of an MVC architecture and includes more than 4,000 lines of custom code spread across more than 50 files.
