My Capstone Project: SwiftTax
SwiftTax is a clean, robust & responsive web application designed to help clients quickly and accurately complete their tax returns. Based on the calculated tax return, clients are presented with a either a curated selection of products they can purchase from Amazon or with a selection of locally-available jobs from Indeed.
This app was completely built from scratch using the elegantly modern Materialize CSS framework along with very heavy doses of custom jQuery + JavaScript. Frontend PHP was incorporated to facilitate HTML – to – PDF functionality, ultimately allowing generation of a fully-completed & ready-to-sign IRS Form 1040 PDF file.
Additional resources & technologies deployed included FireBase’s cloud database services, Google Maps Developer Tools, Amazon Web Services , Indeed Job Search API and the United States Tax Code.
