Over 25,000 congressional bills from 2001 to the present are analyzed from api.govinfo.gov/ where the sponsor, political party, and summary of the bill are scraped. We are using the text of those bills to predict the political alignment of the sponsor that proposed the bill, in order to develop language that is less divisive within the bills and more democratic in nature.
