My Capstone Project: Animal Advocacy
Using the Austin Animal Center data from 2013 to the present, our team created a model to best predict whether a cat or dog will be adopted. The purpose was to give insight to animal shelters so that they can use the model as a tool to decide where to focus resources to increase adoption rates. Our findings concluded that the key is early intervention for cats/dogs to increase adoption resources for those with lower rates of adoption.
