My Capstone Project: Electric Vehicle Copper Prediction
My team and I delved deep into the research on Joe Biden’s plan to have 50% electric vehicle sales by 2030. We used multiple data sources, including U.S. and global copper production, national car sales, and data from the international copper study group. Also using multiple machine learning models, from ARIMA to Neural Prohpet, we used time-series analysis to predict the effects of long term EV growth on copper production, whether or not we might be facing a copper shortage, and the effects of mining more copper on CO2 emissions.
