Throughout my professional experience I have learned that not just skills, but one’s character truly foster a great working environment. I bring a fresh perspective and authenticity to any team and I am eager to expand my current skillset and learn from the best.
A social media site aimed towards the gaming community. This application was built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Thymeleaf on the front end. MySQL database and Java using Spring Boot in the back end brings it all together for a seem-less user experience with full CRUD functionality. Users may search for any game using the RAWG API and add them to a list of favorites. In doing this, users are able to see other users who also have that game favorited and are able to connect and follow those users as well. Users have a home view where they see posts from other users they have connected with and are able to comment and like their posts giving them a true social media experience. There is also a discover page that visitors and user may both visit which displays the most favorited games on GamerHaven as well as the most liked posts giving them a high level overview of the content available.
