My Capstone Project: Run-CMC
CMC stands for “curated music collage”. Run-CMC.net is a web forum centered around sharing and discussing music—specifically user-created top-album lists which use the cover art of the albums collected into a collage known as a topster rather than simple text. (In the interest of full disclosure this idea was inspired by topsters). Users can create and post their own collages, discuss topsters with others and add topsters to their ‘favorites’. Run-CMC.net provides music fans with a platform for discussion and a new, organic way to discover new music from their peers without relying on algorithms. This project incorporated the Spotify API, the Drag and Drop API, HTML, CSS, Javascript, the Fetch API, Java, MySQL, SpringBoot, and the Java Persistence API.
