My Capstone Project: Animal Advocacy
Our project, Animal Advocacy, aims to revolutionize animal adoptions by leveraging predictive analytics to identify animals with lower chances of adoption and intervene to advocate for their adoption. By analyzing the dataset from the Austin Animal Shelter, which encompasses data from 2013 to present and includes 185K cases with 14 features, we will predict the outcome variable of whether an animal is adopted or not adopted.
Our ultimate goal is to create a highly accurate predictive model that can be shared with animal shelters in other cities, enabling them to improve their adoption rates and find loving homes for more animals. By collaborating and sharing our successful model, we can make a significant impact on animal welfare nationwide.
