My Capstone Project: Energy Demand Forecast
As part of a team, I created a model to predict 3 days of electricity demand in ERCOT’s coastal region in South-Eastern Texas using 12 years of electricity demand and weather data. Using Time Series Analysis, Sliding-Window-Splitting cross-validation, Holt-Winter’s model, & the Prophet model, we produced a model that production teams can use to better plan provision and bidding auctions in energy markets.
