My Capstone Project: Networth
Networth is a full-stack web application that connects crypto enthusiasts who want to share posts, photos, and videos about the digital currency market. It allows users to create portfolios with a dollar limit that can be used to purchase assets (crypto currencies) for inclusion in their portfolios. Users can then view the performance of each portfolio using a visual chart that displays the 7-day change in all asset prices in a portfolio. Users can update, edit, and delete their profile information, assets, and portfolios. Spring boot, thyme leaf, mysql database, javascript, css, and bootstrap are used to build the application. The filestack API was used to enable users to upload a profile picture, share photos, and videos.The coin gecko API is used to obtain live crypto data, while the chart-js library is used to provide a graphical representation of each portfolio’s performance.
