Church Local is a business that works with churches to allow their members start meetup groups and to create events to interact with other members inside and outside of their church. Our goal is to allow people foster worthwhile relationships and to grant them opportunities to take ownership of their church resources.
Church Local was developed using four programming languages (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) , 3 frameworks (jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, Laravel), and 3 API’s to include Google Maps, Facebook, and Mailgun. The application relies on multiple database tables and relationships between them. The application follows the principles of an MVC Architecture, flat and minimal design, and includes more than 4,000 lines of custom code spread across more than 50 files.
