My Capstone Project: Project HandMeDown

Project HandMeDown is a three tiered, full stack web application centered around bringing the community of San Antonio closer together. As the name intends, this application is meant for families to exchange goods and knowledge. Tier one being the Marketplace, where members can give away or sell goods their children may have grown out of or no longer use and receive or buy goods they see on the marketplace. Tier two being a moderated forum enables the exchange of thoughts and ideas, giving advice, and sharing knowledge. Tier three being an activities blog where members can browse the many family friendly activities and happenings around San Antonio. This application leverages two external APIs: SendGrid for messaging and Filestack for image uploading. While utilizing technologies of Bootstrap CSS for ui/ux, Thymeleaf for data-access and data rendering, Java with Spring Boot to handle user inputs, on top of a MySQL relational database management system for storing said data.
