My Capstone Project: Customer Segmentation and Product Recommendation

Using a dataset of bike shop sales orders acquired from Data.World we created a system to segment customers based on their purchase histories and demographics for the purposes of focusing marketing efforts. Our analysis identified market segments that generated more revenue than others along with patterns in product preferences among different segments. We then combined our findings with product data scraped from Amazon (acquired from Kaggle.com) in order to recommend products that a customer might be more likely to purchase based on their market segment.
