My Capstone Project: On The House
As part of a team of five we created a full-stack web application with a main goal of reducing food waste within local neighborhoods. The app is intended to connect people within a short distance to others who have unexpired and unused foods and are willing to part with them for free. Users have the ability to create and manage posts, define a geo-fenced perimeter with a 5 mile maximum radius to determine how far their post will reach, and the ability to communicate with other users via chat. Our front end consists of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery. Our backend includes MySql, Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
